Why do i need a power of attorney?
To appoint an attorney (agent) to act on your behalf when you can not.
Examples of when you cannot act:
When you are incapacitated due to illness, age, accident or any other reason
Not in the country
Any circumstance where you are not of sound mind anymore or not being able to act.
What is a power of attorney?
Agency appointment - to appoint someone to create legal relations between you and another party
Preferably in writing
Document evidence for third party that donee is acting for donor
Donee - the person appointed to act
Donor - the person giving the appointment and authority to act for
